In a move influenced by a burgeoning healthy eating trend on TikTok, Tesco has introduced a new Salad Creations Bay in its stores. The surge in TikTok users sharing their creative salad recipes has prompted the supermarket giant to simplify the process for customers to assemble personalized salads by gathering all necessary ingredients in one convenient location.
Starting this week, salad enthusiasts can explore the new fixture in Tesco’s produce aisle. The bay is designed with three distinct sections: bases, builders, and toppers, enabling shoppers to mix and match components to craft their ideal salad.

- Smokey Shred Beetroot
- Extra Large Avocado
- Grated Carrot
- Spring Onions
- Toppers:
- Pickled Cucumber Kimchi
- Sriracha Honey Dressing
- Coconut Chilli and Lime Dressing
- Pickled Pink Slaw
- Chopped Miso, Orange, and Ginger Dressing
Additional salad items include Zingy Corn Salsa, Chopped Maple Orange and Wholegrain Mustard Dressing, Caesar Dressing, Red Pepper Dressing, Chopped Avocado and Cucumber Dressing, Pepper and Salt Croutons, and Garlic and Herb Croutons.
Emily Hampson, Tesco Produce Buying Manager, emphasized the goal of making salads exciting and accessible:
“Salads don’t have to be boring! They can be tasty, filling, and suitable for many meal occasions. More exciting salads appear to be a foodie focus now, with increasingly imaginative creations with a varied range of inclusions appearing on TikTok and Instagram. Through our Salad Creations Bay, we want to inspire customers to make their own best-ever salads at home.”
To celebrate the launch, Tesco Clubcard holders can take advantage of a special introductory offer, buying four salad items for the price of three from the new Salad Creations Bay.
