60 trainees welcome at EDEKA Südwest in Offenburg
After the 60 young people started their training at EDEKA Südwest’s logistics sites and production plants in September 2022, the traditional joint welcome event took place in Offenburg. Caroline Wilkens, Chairman of EDEKA Südwest, welcomed the new trainees and then invited them to visit the Ortenauer wine cellar.
“I warmly welcome our new trainees to our corporate association and wish everyone a good start in the world of work,” said Caroline Wilkens, CEO of EDEKA Südwest. “Training and training is of high importance in the EDEKA association, because in the end, when we assign leadership positions, we focus primarily on young people from our own ranks,” Wilkens presented the prospects in the company.
At the logistics locations, the 60 trainees are employed in different professions, including as specialist IT scientists, specialists in warehouse logistics, professional drivers or merchant and merchant for wholesale and foreign trade management. In the production plants at EDEKA Südwest Fleisch or Schwarzwald-Sprudel, they began their training as specialists for carpenters, professional drivers, as well as as professionals in food technology or warehouse logistics. The welcome event used the youth forces to network and exchange. Finally, we were invited to visit the Ortenauer wine cellar, also a production facility of EDEKA Südwest.
Diverse study and training offerings
